Faith for the Future

No child of God is ever really a victim. God is always bigger, always greater, and His plans cannot be thwarted by others’ bad behavior.

Our Hope for Change

When we get to know God—really know Him—it fills us with hope and confidence because we realize He’s greater than any situation we will ever encounter. Understanding God’s character and incredible love for us allows us to relax and trust Him in every area of our lives.

Count Your Blessings

A couple of years ago, I did something interesting. As the year began, I made a resolution to be thankful every single day of the year. I have to say the results were amazing! You see, gratitude changes our perspective and outlook on life. It’s impossible to be thankful and negative at the same time! When we choose to give thanks to God for the blessings in our lives, we are literally ushering ourselves into His presence. It fills our hearts with peace, joy, and hope.

Our Unchangeable God

God remains the one enduring and unalterable source of life and every perfect gift. His steadfastness offers comfort amidst the transiency and unpredictability of life. Those who trust in Him can look on tomorrow with confidence, knowing His promises endure.

Rise Up! It’s Not Over!

I love the beauty of God’s Word. It’s precision, order, and purpose. God sees everything and is orchestrating events within human history and our individual lives – all for His great glory. When Hagar and her son Ishmael are cast out into the barren wilderness, the Angel of God calls to Hagar from Heaven. Though her son lay dying, God comforts her with His Presence and then gives her a command: “UP! LIFT UP THE BOY, AND HOLD HIM FAST WITH YOUR HAND. . . . ” GENESIS 21:18

Our Glorious Hope

We all go through distressing times in life. These seasons of suffering may be brought about by relational difficulties, financial hardships, or other trials. But as God’s children, we can take heart in knowing that our pain is not wasted.

Finding an Anchor for the Storms of Life

The old sailor looked at the skies and saw a dark storm coming. As the sea became rough and choppy, the old salt calmly lowered the heavy-chained anchor link by link, battened down the hatches and went to bed for the night. He knew the storm would be rough. But he had faith in the grasp of the anchor. He knew his boat would be there in the morning.

Living with Hope In Spite of the Circumstances

Hope is determined and doesn’t give up. God wants us to be locked up in hope, trusting that He can change what needs to be changed, that we can do what He wants us to do, and that all things are possible with God.

Hope for the Unhappy Christian

Every morning, Christians across the country wake up discontent with life — singleness, marriage, career, church, or community — and wish they could trade it for a different one.

5 Small Ways to Triumph Over Worry

Imagine living in a near-constant state of agitation. Consider trying to get through the day with feelings of fear and hopelessness weighing you down, clouding your thoughts, affecting your judgment. Think about how difficult it would be to take joy in life’s small moments, or even find the rhythm for your daily routine. This is a small sample of what anxiety can do to a person, and unfortunately, there’s a good chance someone reading this doesn’t have to imagine it.
