Keys to Powerful Living: Peace

So much of our time, energy and resources are consumed with trying to find and keep peace with family members, friends, and neighbors. But often, no matter how hard we try, peace eludes us. The war in our minds and hearts rages on and on. Where can we find peace?

Understanding the Goal

The Father does not want to function merely as an impersonal Source of information and provision or a distant Commander shouting instructions. He wants to be involved in our lives in the most profound way, through a relationship that is based on faith and trust.

The Secret to Peace and Contentment

The secret to Christian peace and contentment is hidden in plain sight throughout the Scripture and is available to anyone who is willing to believe it.

When You Have to Wait

Do you want the Lord’s will above all else, even if He doesn’t give you what you want when you desire? Here’s what it takes to stay in the will of God in both the good times and bad.

The Path to Joy

Are you going to enjoy your life or employ your life? If you employ your life for the glory of God, then you will enjoy your life as never before.

From Panic to Peace

As God's beloved children, we are called to faith, not fear. Faith says, "God is in charge of my life; I will trust Him, even when circumstances might suggest He's not there. I believe God loves me and knows what is best for me." Faith always crowds out fear.

Christmas and the Gift of Peace

We gain the greatest benefit from being silent and tranquil—cherishing the opportunity to reflect on Christ’s birth and what our Savior really means to us. It is amazing the blessings and sense of peace we miss when we don’t take the time to be still and see how God is moving.

Staying Useful and Fruitful for God

The secret to living a productive life is not found in a pill, a drink, or an exercise routine, but in heeding what the Lord says. None of us know how long we’ll live, but while we have breath, we should desire to be useful and fruitful for God.

The Experience of His Peace

One of the most heavenly aspects of experiencing God is His abounding peace. Peace is not something this world can offer us. This world is run on chaos, stress, confusion, striving, and frivolous pursuits with no satisfaction. Even in this life, God offers us the peace of heaven, the peace that comes from having our hearts wrapped up in true relationship with Him.

Be a More Peaceful Believer

If you’re ready to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ—the Prince of Peace—then you can definitely find peace in your life. Peace is actually part of the inheritance package that comes to us when we receive Jesus Christ as our Savior. John 14:27 says, Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. At one time, I didn’t know what peace felt like. But His Word has led me to experience a lot more peace and joy in my life...and I’d love for you to experience it too.
