Christian courage is the willingness to say and do the right thing regardless of the earthly cost because God promises to help you and save you on account of Christ.
Remember that God will give you the grace to do what you need to do today, so it’s important to focus on living in the moment, rather than worrying about tomorrow.
We “look” at these unseen things through the gospel. We strengthen our hearts — we renew our courage — by fixing our gaze on the invisible, objective truth that we see in the testimony of those who saw Christ face to face.
When we don’t have anyone but God to get us through something, He can use it to make us stronger in Him, and then He can use us to do greater things than we ever imagined we could do.
If you have been tempted to give up—don't. If you don't finish the thing you're currently involved in, you will face the same challenges with the next endeavor.
Today, are you bearing life-altering burdens? Are you afraid one more struggle — one more small-hair of a problem — will break you? Do you feel buried beneath the load wondering if anyone cares or even notices? Take courage, dear one, Jesus knows and Jesus cares. He holds the power to ease your burdens. He holds the key to your strength during difficult days. You can rely on Him when troubles come.
God is with us, leading us, guiding us, loving us, providing for us -- all with His unlimited resources. What do we need? Do we need strength, peace, love, joy, or hope? He has it all.
One of the names of God is Jehovah Jireh, which means “the Lord our Provider” or “the Lord will provide.” It’s wonderful to know that God is our source for everything we need, and He cares about everything we care about. There’s no need so small that He doesn’t know about it, and nothing too big that He can’t provide for us.
We all have umbrellas, which are coverings designed for us to walk under them so that when it rains, it won’t rain on us. Grace is not only something that happens when you are converted, but it is also a lifestyle you are to operate under. You are not only saved by grace, but you are also to maneuver under the covering that God provides: the magnificent grace of God.
The story of God’s people is one of God’s strength covering our weakness. Our heavenly Father takes our problems, sins, fears, and feebleness and uses them as opportunities to demonstrate the overwhelming power of his love. He takes those the world deems to be the weakest and uses them to accomplish incredible, powerful works.
